Refuse and recycling collections update – Thursday 24 December

The rain yesterday has made pavements and untreated roads even more hazardous for the refuse and recycling crews today.Conditions are slowing down collections and in some areas, crews will have to wait before attempting to make any collections.
Whilst the thaw is slowly underway, the rain fall yesterday has made conditions in some places even more icy and difficult for refuse and recycling staff. Every effort will be made to complete collections so please leave your bins and baskets out until the end of the day.
If your refuse/recycling has not been collected by 4pm, (or your property was missed yesterday) we are sorry but this means that your refuse/recycling will not be collected until the next scheduled collection date.
If you have excess waste or recycling over the holiday period, you can take it to the recycling centres at Raban's Lane, Aylesbury; College Road North, Aston Clinton; or Yonder Slade in Buckingham. They are open every day except 25 and 26 December and 1 January. Opening hours are 8am until 5pm in the winter. See www.buckscc.gov.uk for more information.
