Refuse and recycling update - Tuesday 22 December

Compacted snow and ice on the pavements is making collections hazardous for refuse crews today but the council is hoping that all collections will take place later in the day.

Residents are being asked to leave their refuse and recycling out  so that collections can take place as usual, albeit a bit later in the day. 

Icy conditions on the pavements are the main problem although some minor  roads and estate roads are also causing difficulties. However, with the temperatures rising slightly, AVDC is hopeful that all  collections due today will be finished.
