Enjoy free and special offer sport and activity sessions at a venue near you.
Aylesbury Vale sports groups have come together for a new health fitness initiative called Reactivate Bucks.
AVDC and Bucks Sport have teamed up with sport and leisure providers across the Vale to offer free and special offer taster sessions so people can ‘test drive’ a new sport or activity or get back into an old one. If you register online for a session, you could win a mountain bike.
Lots of venues around the Vale are taking part in the special week of introductory ‘Try-It’ sessions starting 31 January to the 8 February, as part of the Reactivate Bucks! campaign. There’s a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, both relaxing and high energy to choose from, regardless of fitness levels or ability. There’s something for everyone and all activities take place in friendly surroundings with qualified instructors providing motivation and a helping hand to those who might have been inactive for a while or who are new to sport.
Activities include netball at the Mandeville Sports Centre, adult swimming lessons and swim fit at Aqua Vale, ballroom dance classes at Walton Court Community Centre, tennis at Aylesbury Tennis Club and badminton and Taekwondo at Aylesbury High School. There’s also adult street dance and adult cheerleading, dodgeball and disability sports.
For more information and to register for an activity, go to www.buckssport.org/reactivate or call the Reactivate Bucks! Team on 01296 585215.
