Date set for parish council by-election

Archived press release

Date Published: 27/07/09

A by-election will be held in Watermead on Thursday 13 August to vote in two new parish councillors.

Four candidates are fighting for the seats, which became free after two councillors resigned.

Hany Girgis, of Mallard Close, Eric Rose, of Sandpiper, Adrian Schwab, of Lark Vale, and Lisa Smith, of Kestrel Way, are standing.

Residents can vote at Watermead Village Hall between 7am and 10pm. All those eligible to vote should receive a polling card – although these are not necessary in order to cast a vote.

Any new applications for a postal vote should be made by 5pm on 29 July to the electoral registration team at AVDC, where all enquiries concerning this election should also be sent.
