New parish councillor elected in Great Brickhill

A by-election was held in Great Brickhill on 1 October to vote in a new parish councillor.

Two candidates contested the election, which was called after a councillor resigned.

Gail Valentine of Ivy Lane was elected onto the parish council over John Hall of Stoke Lane.

The final results were:
• John Hall – 119 votes
• Gail Valentine – 145 votes (elected)

The total voter turnout was 38.6 per cent. Aylesbury Vale District Council was responsible for conducting the election.
