This Saturday, 3 October, Aylesbury lower High Street comes alive in its support for Cancer Research.
The street will have a buzzing atmosphere with entertainment for the whole family combined with special offers at businesses within the High Street.
From 11am until 3pm, the street will be awash with pink balloons and lots of free entertainment. With roving musicians, free face painting, pink stilt walker, a balloon modeller and our favourite giant cuddly bear there will be lots to see and enjoy for the whole family. We have up to 200 sticks of candy floss to give away!
Friars Square sopping centre is also taking part in the charity fund raising and will be hosting Jazzercise dance demonstrations and workshops from 11am until 2pm.
Diana Fawcett Aylesbury's Joint Town Centre Manager said, "This is an opportunity for retailers in the town – from Friars Square to the High Street to do something special to raise money for this great cause. For the High Street businesses, it’s a perfect way to promote their products and services with lots of special offers on for that day only. All proceeds from the tins located in the businesses and on the street will be donated to the charities located in the High Street with special focus on Cancer Research."
