Polling station
The results have been declared in by-elections for two Aylesbury Vale District Council wards.
By-elections were held on 11 February for the Aylesbury Central and Luffield Abbey wards.
The votes for candidates (listed alphabetically) for the Aylesbury Central ward were as follows:
• Brian Adams (UK Independence Party) – 65
• Michael Beall (Labour Party) – 67
• Graham Webster (Liberal Democrat) – 354
• Mark Winn (Conservative Party) – 213
Graham Webster is elected as councillor for the Aylesbury Central ward. The turnout was 26.9 per cent.
In the Luffield Abbey ward, the votes for candidates were:
• Mark Benson (Independent) – 63
• Pearl Lewis (Conservative Party) – 343
• Ian Metherell (Liberal Democrat) – 133
• John Russell (UK Independence Party) – 151
Pearl Lewis is elected as councillor for the Luffield Abbey ward. The turnout was 33.4 per cent.
The by-elections followed the resignation of Keith Turner as a councillor for the Aylesbury Central ward and the resignation of Luffield Abbey councillor Stefan Balbuza.
There is no change to the political composition of the council.
