By-elections will be held on 11 February
Residents are encouraged to make sure they have their say in forthcoming by-elections in Aylesbury Vale.
By-elections will be held on 11 February to elect new representatives to the Aylesbury Central and Luffield Abbey wards following the resignation of two councillors.
Electors who are eligible to vote should now have received their polling card. If not, residents can check they are on the electoral register by contacting the district council’s electoral services team.
Residents have the choice of four candidates in the Aylesbury Central ward. They are: Brian Adams (UK Independence Party); Michael Beall (Labour); Graham Webster (Liberal Democrat); and Mark Winn (Conservative).
The candidates in the Luffield Abbey by-election are: Mark Benson (Independent); Pearl Lewis (Conservative); Ian Metherell (Liberal Democrat); and John Russell (UK Independence Party).
Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm on election day and the results will be announced on 12 February.
Electors who are unable to attend a polling station can appoint someone they know to vote for them as a proxy. Applications for proxy votes must be received by 5pm on 3 February.
