A weekend of free activities in Aylesbury

Archived press release

Date Published: 11/05/10

Aylesbury town centre is bustling with free activities this weekend.

On Saturday 15 May in Kingsbury, from 11am until 3pm, there is the return of the animal petting farm with lots of lovely animals to pet and stroke. Accompanying this activity a number of churches are running a children's activity area which will include crafts, face-painting and balloon modelling.

On Sunday 16 May, the animal petting is accompanied by the Green Fair which is located in the Market Square. At this event you can learn more about green issues and the environment by talking to the experts and see for yourself the benefits of "going green" and buy local produce.

Diana Fawcett, Aylesbury’s Town Centre Manager, said: “Animal petting is always a very popular attraction and we are delighted that the local churches want to come along and support the town by providing a range of complimentary children’s activities. The town council have planned the return of the Green Fair on Sunday which promises to be bigger and better than last year”.
