Places still available on training programme for community groups.
Community and voluntary groups in Buckinghamshire are being offered the opportunity to take part in a number of training workshops during the next few months.
The fundraising training, organised by Aylesbury Vale District Council, has undergone a radical change and local groups are encouraged to find out what is on offer.
The programme focuses on a number of key areas that groups will most benefit from receiving training in. The subject areas include: supporting trustees; using social media; publicising work with vulnerable clients; and improving earned income.
In addition, members of community groups now have the opportunity to meet a trainer on a one-to-one basis to discuss any aspect of their work and get advice.
The first course takes place on Tuesday 27 September at the Winslow Centre. Places are still available.
The courses are open to any voluntary and community sector organisation including registered charities, sport and youth groups, community associations, parish and town councils and social enterprises.
A training programme and booking form are available for download on the council’s website (see link below).
Alternatively, further information can be obtained by contacting AVDC by email on fundraisingcourses@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk or by telephone on 01296 585256.
