Aylesbury town centre will be filled with music from across the globe on Saturdays during the summer.
Global Street Beats, set to take place between 28 July and 25 August, will showcase some of today’s most original and inspiring artists from the music world, and all for free.
The quality and breadth of this year’s eclectic line-up means that the festival will appeal to a wide range of audiences, from the most avid music lover to those simply looking for a great family day out.
A variety of world music acts have been announced including Papa Mengo, Mariachi Mexteca, Mambo Jambo and The Hut People.
The Saturday performances will begin at approximately 11.30am and 1pm in Kingsbury, with the exception of the local bands day which takes place between 11.30am and 2.15pm.
Music lovers can also enjoy the ongoing Summer Sundays series of free concerts, where different bands perform each week in the town centre. There is a wide variety of acts with something for everyone this August, including the Aba Queens tribute act, sounds of Salsa, song and dance from around the world and the Young Pop Star Competition.
The Summer Sundays free concerts take place every Sunday until September from 11.30am until 2pm. Come and take a seat or relax in one of the many coffee shops while you enjoy the shows.
The summer weekend music programme is organised by AVDC in partnership with Aylesbury Town Council and the Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership.
