Full Plans Application
Fees are usually payable in two stages. There is a plan fee for the plans to be checked and for a decision to be issued. When the first inspection is carried out an inspection fee will be charged. This is a once only payment that covers all site inspections until the completion certificate is issued.

Building Notice Application
If works are carried out under a building notice the building notice fee is payable which is the same as the plan fee and inspection fee added together.

Fees will not be charged for work that:

• Benefits people with disabilities (for homes and public access)
• For advice
• For plans that are similar to previous plans (eg where they were previously rejected) – unless there has been a lapse of deposit of plans (a Section 32 notice has been issued).
• For insertion of cavity wall insulation, where work is certified to an approved standard.
