Customer care

A safe and healthy built environment for you - our customer - is our aim.

We promise to:

  • make your building regulation approval as simple as possible.
  • help ensure that work is carried out within Building Regulations.
  • respond to dangerous structure reports quickly.
  • respond to demolition notices quickly.
  • provide the best professional service founded on quality, impartiality, care, pride in our work and value for money.

To achieve our promises we will give the following service:

  • Advise at the design stage before your application.
  • Deal with your application quickly and efficiently (3 weeks for small works, or 5 weeks at most, unless we have your agreement - then within 2 months). If we fail within the time period then your application is automatically approved.
  • Make site inspections within a working day of you notifying us.
  • Give you help and advice on complying with the regulations.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure that work complies with Building Regulations and after completion provide a Completion Certificate.
  • Deal with reports of dangerous structures within 1-12 hours depending on the urgency.
  • Give you the name and contact telephone number of the officer dealing with your work.
