AVLDF Evidence Base
Local Development Framework Evidence Base
On the 8th September 2010 the Council will be considering a recommendation to withdraw the Core Strategy from the examination process (subject to Secretary of State Direction); this report will be available from 26th August 2010. Please see the Core Strategy – Current Position webpage for the latest information.
One of the key aims of the new planning system is that the local development documents, which make up the local development framework (LDF) must be based on a robust and credible evidence base. The technical work that informs the LDF is made up of a number of studies and reports.
The evidence base has been developed further since the preferred options consultation took place in June-July 2007, with more detailed work being undertaken for some areas. Further work is also ongoing, and will feed into the submission document of the core strategy (due to be completed spring 2009).
All the detailed reports can be downloaded following the links on the left of this page. If the link on the left does not open please follow the related link below. The evidence is split into the following sub headings:
Community and Health Evidence
Employment Evidence
Environment Evidence
Housing Evidence
Miscellaneous Evidence
Regional Context Evidence
Retail Evidence
Transport Evidence
