Rest of District Preliminary Flood Risk Screening Study
The flood risk screening study for the rest of the district summarises the flood risk at sites that have been designated for new dwellings to meet the local development framework (LDF) housing requirements in the South East Plan.
It aims to provide information to assist in the selection of potential development sites, from the perspective of water resource, water supply network, wastewater treatment and foul water network. The overall objective of the assessment is to identify where sites would be at risk of flooding and where further investigations are required. The report includes an assessment of the level of water services infrastructure upgrades that would be required for each of the identified growth points and clusters, to support the proposed growth. The results of this assessment will feed into the planning authority’s core strategy and subsequent development plan document’s.
