Aylesbury Vale Core Strategy Evidence Paper: North East Aylesbury Vale Strategic Development Area (SDA)
As part of the future growth of the city of Milton Keynes, the South East Plan (SEP) states that 5,390 dwellings are to be provided on a strategic development area (SDA) in the north east of Aylesbury Vale district. In SEP, this area is called the Milton Keynes South West SDA but will be referred to as the North-East Aylesbury Vale SDA in our evidence paper.
As the SDA lies entirely within Aylesbury Vale district , our core strategy allocates a site to meet this requirement.
This paper summaries the various documents which contributed to the development of the SEP policy for the North-East Aylesbury Vale SDA, including:
- MK 2031 Growth Strategy
- Milton Keynes and South Midlands Sub Regional Strategy (MKSM SRS)
- Colin Buchanan Study and
- public and stakeholder consultation and it's role in the process
The paper then evaluates three sites identified by the Council, which have the potential to meet the SEP requirement.
