Hearing Session 08 - Thursday 18th March 2010 Viability & Infrastructure
On the 8th September 2010 Full Council agreed a recommendation to withdraw the Core Strategy which is currently subject to examination (subject to Secretary of State Direction). Following the meeting the Council has written to the Secretary of State to seek his direction to withdraw the Core Strategy. Please see the Core Strategy – Current Position webpage for the latest information and to access the report and recommendation that went to Council on the 8th September.
The eighth hearing session is currently scheduled for the 18th March 2010, starting in the afternoon. at the Aston Hall, Civic Centre, Market Square, Aylesbury HP20 1UF.
The session will look at Core Strategy’s Developer Contribution Policy (CS14) and the delivery of development.
Further written statements for the above session are required, at the latest, by 24th February 2010.
The following questions will be looked at in more detail:
1. Has the CS adequately addressed the district's infrastructure needs, and how these will be funded and delivered, in a co-ordinated manner?
2. Is CS14 consistent with Circular 05/2005?
3. Is there flexibility to deal with any policy changes, such as the proposed Community Infrastructure Levy?
4. What will be the effect on the deliverability of all development, in the current economic climate?
