Household refuse
Rubbish from your wheeled bin is collected weekly. Your bin is free of charge, and while you live at your address it is your responsibility. When you move house we like you to leave the bin behind.
If there are five people or more living in your home full time you can have a larger bin, or an extra bin for very large households. Email us on the contact details below to request a larger bin.
Collection points
To get your bin emptied, or black bags taken away put them at the edge of your property, near the road where the dustbin lorry usually comes along, by 6.30am on your collection day. Your recycle baskets are collected once a fortnight, and your glass recycling box once every four weeks, from the same place as your bin. To check your collection day click here.
Do you need help putting out your wheeled bin, recycling baskets and glass box?
We can help you if you are unable to put out your wheeled bin, glass box or recycling baskets yourself.
If you have a disability and you want to find out if we can help you contact us by email contractservices@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk or call us on 01296 585510
Changes to Bucks County Council's waste sites
Bucks County Council is bringing in new measures to stop trade waste being taken to their household waste sites (usually known as the tip or dump).
For the majority of householders, in a normal car, MPV or 4x4 taking normal garden or household waste in bags there will be no change, however, for some DIY waste you may need a permit. For DIY waste such as doors, old baths, sinks, window frames or 1 sack of rubble, you can take 4 - 6 items per month and you will need a permit. Also if you are in a commercial vehicle, ie a flatbed truck, minivan or if you are on foot, you will need a permit.
Please check with the county council on 01296 387828 if you think you may need a permit. Or visit their website on the link below.
