Backgound
Our recent consultation on Buckingham Park Community Centre has given us some good ideas on what people would like to see happening at the facility.
Results Summary
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond. The results show in detail the information we received.These helped us to identify the needs of the local community.
Some may be more difficult to respond to than others, eg the ceiling is too low for badminton, but ideal for other exercise classes.
Contact Details
The new Centre is being managed by Watermead Parish Council and is situated on Colonel Grantham Avenue, Buckingham Park next to the Medical Centre. It consists of a large main hall, 8 by 12 metres and a small meeting room, toilets, kitchen and has car parking adjacent to the facility.
Its opening hours are 9.00am to 10.30pm throughout the week with additional later finishes on Fridays and Saturdays of 11.30pm. The Centre has now opened its doors to the Public, albeit with limited activities to start with, these include-
Tuesdays 2.00pm Family Health Clinic- Stay and Play
Tuesdays 7.00pm Bridge (starting in September) Cubs and Scouts
Wednesdays 6.00pm Martial Arts
Thursdays 9.30am Parent and Toddler Group
Thursdays 7.00pm Bridge
Fridays 2.00pm Frantic Friday Coffee Afternoon (for parents to get together)
Other clubs and activities will be incorporated in the coming months.
The Centre is available for regular block bookings and one off meetings and parties. Please contact 01296 395211 for enquires and to book.
