Visitor parking permits

Being a resident parking permit holder entitles you to buy permits that allow your visitors to park in the same restricted zone specified on your own permit.

Each visitor permit has a unique number and other security measures that enable us to check the permit’s validity and relate the permit to your resident parking permit.

You can apply for up to 50 visitor permits per address per three month period. Each visitor permit costs 50p.

  • You can apply for visitor permits at the same time as you apply for your resident parking permit, you use the same resident application form (download from bottom of page).
  • You can apply for visitor permits at a different time to applying for your resident parking permit, but you apply using a postal visitor permits application form (download from bottom of page).

Anyone caught using visitor permits fraudulently can be refused permits in the future.

  • Permits are only valid if displayed in a vehicle with a valid road fund licence.
  • A permit is only valid if you scratch off the appropriate sections to indicate:
    - Your arrival time
    - am or pm
    - day
