If you are over 21 years and have held a UK or European driving licence for 18 months you can apply for a taxi licence. The licensing team will arrange for a criminal record check and subject to the existence of any relevant criminal records either an annual or 3 year licence will be granted. All licences are conditioned with requirements regarding conduct and appearance.
