AVDC Design Awards 2019

Celebrating outstanding design in the Vale

The AVDC Design Awards celebrates projects which make an outstanding contribution to the design quality of the built environment in the district.

Aylesbury Vale is a great place to live, work and grow and this is demonstrated by the continually evolving developments in the area, whether it's distinctive family housing or new parks. Celebrating these exemplar achievements helps the district raise the bar by encouraging the design quality of new developments to maintain the special qualities and distinctiveness of Aylesbury Vale.

In 2019, the event is now in its 26th year and again we are delighted to say we received a good number of nominations and entries featuring examples of high quality buildings, public realm spaces, large and small scale development schemes as well as mixed use residential, commercial and community projects. The shortlisted schemes were visited by a panel of expert judges made up of architects, designers and also members and accompanied by officers on 8 October 2019.
