AVDC offers fantastic modern office building with an onsite café and parking.  We offer a generous annual leave entitlement of between 25 -28 days leave increasing by 5 days after five years.  Most staff are able to participate in our flexible working scheme which includes the ability to work from home, work flexible hours and a range of other flexible and part time working patterns.

We offer all employees the option to join the Local Government Pension scheme or a scheme of your choice and a range of other benefits such as group membership of Simply Health, which entitles staff to discounted medical fees. All staff between 16 and 65 years are automatically included in our free Life Assurance scheme and entitled to either maternity or paternity leave.

For those with childcare responsibilities we offer access to childcare vouchers which can be used to pay for participating registered childcare.  We can also pay a carers allowance if an employee has to attend evening meeting and needs to make specialist arrangements for the care of a child or dependant.

We offer a wide range of personal development opportunities including a career development portal, a career development loan scheme enabling staff support to pursue their careers.  On top of this we offer a wide range of learning opportunities including a coaching scheme.  We also operate a discretionary sponsorship scheme to support employees studying for qualifications that are relevant to their roles.
