Community Chest

AVDC and the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust together set aside £500,000 a year from 2007-2017 to fund projects aimed at improving the quality of life of our residents.

Projects had to contribute to at least one of the priorities:

  • stronger communities
  • safer communities
  • thriving economy
  • sustainable environment
  • health and wellbeing

Who could apply?

Eligible groups included:

  • charities
  • clubs
  • societies
  • associations
  • parish councils
  • community interest companies
  • social enterprises

Applicants had to be formally constituted, not-for-profit and operate within Aylesbury Vale, providing facilities, activities or services for the benefit of residents.

Funding streams (now closed)

  • Final microgrant applications (up to £1,000) were submitted by 15th December 2016 and will be decided by 15th January 2017.
  • A list of all grants awarded in 2016-17 can be downloaded below, a final annual report will be published in April 2017.
