The appeals process

* Please note that complex cases may take longer than the target times detailed here, however if this is the case we will keep you informed and provide revised target dates.

  1. Appeal received

Appeal recieved in writing, by email or letter within 10 working days of date of Community Trigger outcome letter.

  1. The Chair of the Safer Buckinghamshire Board will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of appeal within 3 working days
  • A Notification of appeal sent to Police and Crime Commissioner
  1. The Chair of the Safer Buckinghamshire Board will:

  • Review the case and decision made
  • Respond to the applicant with the outcome of the appeal within 15 working days of the appeal request
  1. Appeal Upheld

The Chair of the Safer Buckinghamshire Board will set recommendations for the relevant bodies.

Or

Appeal Not Upheld

The decision of the Chair of the Safer Buckinghamshire Board is final and there is no further opportunity to appeal.

In either case, a notification of the appeal outcome sent to Police and Crime Commissioner.
