A DAS is a short report supporting a planning application. It explains how a proposed development is a suitable response to the site and its setting, and that it can be accessed by prospective users.

Who needs a DAS?

A DAS is required for:
• major developments – full and outline
• developments in a conservation area, or the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
• listed buildings.
