Queens Park Arts Centre are delighted to be welcoming writer / director Karen Banfield and her talented cast and crew back to the Limelight Theatre for another murder mystery event in March.
The last two shows – Murder by Matrimony and Murder on Camera – played to packed crowds (standing room only!) at the venue and tickets for the 2019 show are already in high demand.
Thee production will be running for two nights– on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March. Details about the show – entitled Murder by the Home Fires – are a closely-guarded secret, but a short synopsis has been released:
It is Spring 1944 and there are plenty of posters giving dire warning that Careless Talk Costs Lives.
The Morris family have taken this to heart and held on tightly to their secrets.
But when they start being revealed, for one of them, their number’s up and everyone is a suspect.
Once the first act of the play is over the audience will have a chance to go through the clues and speculate ‘whodunit’, The second act will reveal more plot details before the audience has one final chance to submit their guesses, ahead of the reveal in the third act.
The format of the event is for the audience to sit back and enjoy a full length play. No questions are directed at the cast members and they do not mix with the audience.
The production is staged and performed by a talented team of local theatre makers, and will be raising money for Queens Park Arts Centre’s ongoing fundraising initiative to improve and expand its facilities.
Audience members are encouraged to sign up in ‘teams’ and work together to figure out the answer – there’ll be a small prize for the team who guess the correct culprit.
Tickets: £12.50 / £10.50 concessions
