The Herbert Protocol is a new tool used by Thames Valley Police to help find vulnerable people who may go missing, particularly those with dementia.
Carers, family members and friends should fill out a form recording key information including a recent photograph which the police will require if the vulnerable person goes missing. In the event that the vulnerable person does go missing the second part of the form should be filled out and handed to the police.
The form can be used for any vulnerable person not just those with dementia.
Further information including the Adult at Risk forms can be found here: https://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/notices/af/herbert-protocol/
