The Ivinghoe Neighbourhood Plan Referendum covers the period 2014-2033
The designated Neighbourhood Area covers the same area as the Ivinghoe Parish Council.
On 14 December 2018 it was agreed to ‘make’ the Ivinghoe Neighbourhood Plan, following a referendum where more than half of those voting voted in favour of the Plan.
The Ivinghoe Neighbourhood Plan is now part of the council’s Development Plan as set out in the IPNP Decision Statement.
What is the Ivinghoe Neighbourhood Plan
The Ivinghoe Neighbourhood Plan (IPNP) is the emerging development plan for the Ivinghoe Neighbourhood Area, covering the same area as the Parish, for the plan period of 2014-2033. On adoption it will form part of the Development Plan, which planning applications in that area will be assessed against. The IPNP has policies which look to shape development across Ivinghoe & Ivinghoe Aston, rather than make allocations. The plan is focussed on facilitating small scale sustainable development to conserve and enhance the local area.
