New Homes Bonus Project and Micro Grant Funding Schemes open for applications

New Homes Bonus Project Grant Scheme for 2019/20 is now open to applications from parish and town councils

If your parish or town council has a project that you would like to be considered for funding in 2019/20, you MUST first complete an Expression of Interest form, available to complete online here.

The completed EOI will ensure an initial discussion with the grants officer to identify whether projects meet the criteria, to discuss other possible funding sources (including S106) and avoid abortive work for potential applicants.

If invited to submit a full application it must include a business case, which as a minimum would demonstrate:

  • why the project is needed in relation to the impact of growth on the relevant area
  • the need and community support for the proposed investment
  • a clear budget and funding details
  • a delivery plan.

The application form will set out the information that you need to provide and a list of the supporting documentation required.  We would expect a feasibility study to have been carried out and Planning permission to have been granted (or to be in progress) where appropriate, prior to submission.

Please see the Information, Criteria and Guidance Notes for how to apply

The closing date for project grant applications is Friday 14th June 2019.

New Homes Bonus Micro Grant Scheme

New Homes Bonus Micro Grants available up to a maximum of £2000!

AVDC Cabinet has recently agreed to increase the maximum amount voluntary and community sector organisations and town and parish councils can apply for from £1,000 to £2,000 under the New Homes Bonus micro grand scheme.

These easily accessible grants are available for a variety of capital costs including refurbishments and equipment purchases and are assessed on a monthly basis.

It is not necessary for the project to link to growth, although those that do may score more highly. Projects to be put forward for funding must evidence consultation at parish level and the application form must be endorsed by the relevant town or parish council prior to submission.

There is a total budget of £80,000 to allocate each year.

The closing date for applications is the  15th of each month.

(please note that an Expression of Interest is only required for a project grant and NOT micro grant applications)

Please see the Information, Criteria and Guidance Notes for how to apply

Please see the Successful micro grants 2017-2018.

Please note that in light of the unitary decision all funding recommendations may have to be signed off by the new shadow authority before grant awards can be confirmed.
