Refuse collections

Update on refuse and recycling collections scheduled for today.

We are confident that all refuse will be collected by the end of the day.

However, some areas may not receive a recycling collection due to the sheer volume of materials to be collected.

If we missed your collection please leave your recycling out from 6.30am on Saturday 7 January and we will collect it during the day.

Services may continue to be affected for the remainder of this week. If your refuse or recycling is not collected please leave it out so that it can be collected as soon as we are able.

The reason we changed the Christmas bin collection regime was to shorten the catch-up period, which saves the council taxpayer a lot of money because it reduces the amount we spend on Saturday overtime payments.
