Aylesbury Town Centre is delighted to be supporting Cancer Research UK (CRUK) on Saturday 13 October in the High Street between 11am and 3pm, as part of the annual Wear it Pink day.
The High Street will be decorated in pink balloons with dozens of stalls for visitors to browse, as well as a range of activities to enjoy. The Bluebird Belles, a vintage vocal harmony trio will be performing three amazing sessions, and there will also be children’s activities provided by local play centre Zoomania.
Visitors may be surprised to see a pink bird of paradise walking around on stilts and animal characters meandering up and down the High Street helping to raise money for this worthy charity.
Last year CRUK raised just short of £2,000, and this year, they’re hoping to beat this amount.
Diana Fawcett Town Centre & Regeneration Manager, said:
“It’s a pleasure to support CRUK with their fundraising. It’s always a fantastic day, and residents and visitors are very generous with their donations. It’s great to see the community come together to raise these much-needed funds.”
Linda Inglis, Manager of Aylesbury CRUK, also commented:
“I’m so proud of the people of Aylesbury, who always support me and the charity in raising vital funds on our Wear it Pink day.”
