Comments invited on Weston Turville neighbourhood plans

6 Jul 2015

Aylesbury Vale District Council is inviting members of the public to voice their views on the proposal to designate the parish of Weston Turville as a "neighbourhood area".

Weston Turville Parish Council has submitted an application to AVDC to designate the parish as a neighbourhood area with a view to developing a neighbourhood plan.

Neighbourhood plans are a key part of the government's localism agenda to give local people more of a say on issues like where new homes, shops and offices should be built, and the design of new developments.

One of the first steps in developing a neighbourhood plan is that the parish council has to apply to the district council to be designated as a neighbourhood area.

AVDC is inviting comment on the application, particularly from those living or working in the area, during a four week public consultation.

Public consultation on the boundary of the proposed neighbourhood area starts on 6 July and runs until 3 August.

To see the detailed maps of the proposed neighbourhood areas please visit the neighbourhood planning web page. Alternatively, residents can see all the relevant information at the AVDC offices.

Any comments on the Weston Turville neighbourhood area application can be sent electronically via email to or posted to the following address: AVDC Forward Plans, The Gateway, Gatehouse Road Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP19 8FF.
