Over the next three weeks, WhizzFizzFest is running an illustration competition, inviting all super WhizzFizzFest enthusiasts to channel their artistic flair and create their own super character.
As Aylesbury’s much-loved family-friendly literary and arts festival, WhizzFizzFest is excited to offer another fun and creative competition. The festival, which takes pace on Saturday 22 June, 10.30am – 5.30pm in Aylesbury town centre, is a collaboration of all creative arts and to celebrate the town welcoming incredible authors and illustrators; Cressida Cowell, Judith Kerr and Nick Butterworth, WhizzFizzFest is launching yet another opportunity for whizzfizzers to get imaginative.
The sky’s the limit when it comes to creativity in this exciting new competition. Entrants are invited to draw, paint, build, sculpt or even show off their computer skills in designing a character! And of course, when submitting an entry, remember to include any superpowers the judges (WhizzFizzFest’s festival friends at Chancellors) will need to know about.
The competition is free to enter and there’s no restriction on the number of entries that can be made. There are two entry categories for the competition with one prize draw open to 0 to 10 year olds, and another for 11 to 16 year olds and a fantastic prize of an amazing arts and crafts set for one lucky winner from each category.
Nic Simmonds, Area Associate Director - Chancellors, commented: “We’re excited to be working with WhizzFizzFest and are delighted to be sponsoring and judging this fantastic illustration competition. It’s a perfect opportunity for whizzfizzers of all artistic ability to get involved and we can’t wait to see what SUPER characters are created. Good luck to everyone who enters!”
The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 9 June with the winner being chosen and notified on or before Saturday 22 June. For more information and to enter the competition, visit WhizzFizzFest or follow @WhizzFizzFest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
