On 1 November, a brand-new community facility will be opening its doors in Oakfield Village in Kingsbrook, Aylesbury.
Named the Oakfield Community Building, the facility will provide space for a nursery and local community activities and clubs.
To celebrate the launch of the facility, there will be an open evening at the new venue on Friday 1 November between 5-7pm, with Cllr Judy Brandis, Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) Chairman, cutting the ribbon at 5.30pm.
The facility has been built by Barratt Homes as part of the S106 Agreement for the Kingsbrook development. Aktiva who is running and managing the nursery - which is housed in the same building and opened in September - will also be managing the community hall (Dalby Hall) and the ancillary rooms.
Cllr Paul Irwin, AVDC Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said:
“It’s fantastic news that a new community facility is opening in Oakfield Village in the next couple of weeks. It’s also great news that Dalby Hall is offering preschool and toddler sessions, as well as being available to be hired by the local community for clubs and activities.”
