In this year’s Digital Leaders DL100 Awards, Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) has been shortlisted for ‘Digital Council of the Year’, and AVDC’s Digital Director Maryvonne Hassall has been nominated for the hotly-contested ‘Digital Leader of the Year’ category.
The prestigious DL100 list recognises the top 100 UK champions of digital transformation - those people and organisations that are promoting effective, long-term digital change across government, industry and charities.
Judges considered over 500 public sector bodies, SMEs and charities before deciding on the 100 finalists who make up this year’s independent DL100 list.
The finalists will compete in one of 10 categories. And the winners of the 10 categories will be decided by a combination of the public (who are able to vote from today until 10 May) and a judging panel.
“At AVDC, we’re committed to ongoing digital transformation, to ensure we provide our customers with the most cost-effective and best possible service. And I’m delighted that our hard work has been recognised in this shortlist, and we’d love to receive the public’s vote” said Cllr Steve Bowles, Deputy Leader of AVDC.
"Our 7th Digital Leaders 100 published today reflects much of the fantastic work going on across the UK’s sectors. It’s a celebration of those leading change, but who are not perhaps household names yet,” commented Robin Knowles, CEO of Digital Leaders.
The category winners will be announced at the DL100 Awards ceremony on 20 June.
