Apply to Bucks County Council for a free bus pass.
Alternatively, you may be eligible for taxi tokens instead of a bus pass.
Taxi token scheme
We are currently reviewing the scheme to consider how this should be provided in the future, therefore applicaions for the current scheme will only be accepted up to the 30th June 2018.
The tokens are issued to help people of pensionable age or with disabilities to make essential journeys.
You are eligible for tokens if you are:
- resident within the Aylesbury Vale District Council area or live in a village or area listed here.
- in receipt of the state pension or have reached the pensionable age of a woman born on the same day as you
you cannot use buses because of disability or fraility - either because you are unable to board a bus or because you are unable to walk to or from a bus stop at either end of the journey
you have a disability as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act
The scheme is not available to people who have access to their own private transport.
If you live in the north of Aylesbury Vale and are having difficulty finding a taxi firm who will take your tokens please contact us on 01296 585605
