Apply to Bucks County Council for a free bus pass.
Alternatively, you may be eligible for taxi tokens instead of a bus pass.
Taxi token scheme
Eligible residents may apply for £90 of taxi tokens from 1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018
The tokens are issued to help people of pensionable age or with disabilities to make essential journeys.
You are eligible for tokens if you are:
- resident within the Aylesbury Vale District Council area or live in a village or area listed on the application form
- in receipt of the state pension or have reached the pensionable age of a woman born on the same day as you
you cannot use buses because of disability or fraility - either because you are unable to board a bus or because you are unable to walk to or from a bus stop at either end of the journey
you have a disability as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act
The scheme is not available to people who have access to their own private transport.
More information about the taxi token scheme is available in the application form.
If you have a transportation need while you’re waiting for your application to be processed, contact the Community Transport Hub who may be able to help you.
