Over half of all planning applications we receive are invalid
Over half of all planning applications we receive are invalid. This delays our decision and can hold up your project.
We offer appointments to go through your application to check that it’s valid before you submit it. If there are any problems with it, we’ll tell you what you need to do to improve it.
Send us an email to book an appointment.
For information on the cost of this service, see planning fees page.
Please note: if an application is made that fails to meet our validation requirements, an invalid application charge will be made. If the information required to make the application valid is not received within 28 days of a written request, or the application is otherwise collected, we will dispose of the application. We will also deduct a charge of £25 for householders (+VAT) and £50 (+VAT) from all other planning applications from the planning fee submitted, before returning the balance.
Local Validation List for Buckinghamshire Council
A new Local Validation List has been created for the Buckinghamshire Council, this will affect all planning applications received by the new authority on and after 1 April 2020.
These changes include clearer descriptions of the documents we require for validation, updated guidance, and best practice examples.
You can view the Validation List on Buckinghamshire Council Local Validation List.
