What is AVDC’s role?

Promoting the health and wellbeing of residents in the Vale is an important part of what we do and is embedded in the many services we deliver.

We’re also working in partnership with a wide range of agencies to deliver the Health and Wellbeing Strategy


How can I improve my health and wellbeing?

Eating a healthy, balanced diet is an important part of maintaining good health.

Research shows there are five ways that can really help to boost our wellbeing.

Be aware of the risks attached to smoking and excessive drinking.

Take part in regular physical activity.


Prevention Matters

Prevention Matters is a free service linking eligible adults (over 18) to social activities, volunteers and community services. For FAQ's, information or to make a referral to the service, please go to the Prevention Matters website.

Dementia

AVDC is a member of the Buckinghamshire Dementia Action Alliance helping to promote greater awareness and understanding of Dementia and supports communities to become Dementia Friendly.
