The Met office is warning of severe weather disruption in Aylesbury Vale on Thursday and Friday (1-2 March) and this is likely to disrupt our waste collection service. Our main concern is the safety of residents and our crews, so as a precaution we might have to cancel or reschedule some collections until conditions improve. Please note: The collection dates on our phone app and the AVDC website will not show changes to the collections so instead please refer to the channels above.
Thursday 1 March
We are changing the way we collect waste on Thursday 1 March. For this week only, we’ll be collecting your food waste and general waste at the same time. This will enable us to complete more collections before the weather interrupts but does mean we won’t be able to recycle your food waste this week. Alternatively, if you can keep your food waste until next week we hope we will be able to return to separate collections.
Friday 2 March
We're anticipating normal collections on this day. However, if we're unable to complete our rounds, then any missed areas will have their bins collected on Saturday.
