WATERMEAD

25th January 2020

Dear Mr. Waker,

On behalf of Watermead Parish Council and following advice received from our engaged consultant I write to apply for the designation of the parish of Watermead as a neighbourhood area under Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning(General Regulations) 2012.

I enclose a boundary map of Watermead Parish and confirm that the whole of parish within the boundary is the area concerned. The Localism Act 2011 (Section GlF) details that the Parish Council is permitted to act in relation to the neighbourhood area if the area consists or includes the whole or part of any area of the council.

Watermead Parish is long established and well recognised. The Parish is a democratically elected body representing the entire local community and is fully committed to ensuring that future planning decisions with this area reflect the community's wishes.

Watermead Parish Council meets the criteria of a relevant body by virtue of satisfying the requirements of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 as amended by the Localism Act 2011, Schedule 9, Part 1, Section 61G (2) (a}.

We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience, as we are very keen to proceed with developing our Neighbourhood Plan on behalf of our community.

Yours sincerely,

Noreen Shardlow CiLCA
Parish Clerk & RFO
