Advice from specialists should be sought if your listed building is affected by the following:
Biodiversity
-
You should be aware that the presence of any protected species e.g. bats in a listed building or within the curtilage may have implications for any schemes of works and the appropriate advice must be sought
Visit Natural England for more information about bats
Archaeology
-
The implications are twofold in terms of impact on the building and below ground archaeology. Archaeological analysis is needed on proposals for work to buildings and excavations within the curtilage of a listed building.
Visit Institute of Field Archaeologists for more information
